Swimming Lessons Back Cover Copy

Client:

Harlequin enterprises is a women’s and romance fiction publisher. The company has multiple imprints to publish novels with various themes to cater to specific audiences. 

Challenge:

Harlequin needed back cover copy for “Swimming Lessons,” a novel in its “Mira” line. As with any back cover copy, the challenge is to highlight the key elements from the storyline that will be most likely to attract and entice the ideal reader—all while staying within the Harlequin brand voice. 

Solution:

The key to making this book sound especially appealing was to combine the redemptive elements of the plot and the protagonist’s journey with the idyllic island setting and the heart-wrenching hopefulness of an animal rescue organization.
